Fed: Centrelink staff absent 3.5 weeks on average, parly told
CANBERRA, Feb 8 AAP - Disgruntled staff at government services provider Centrelink
are taking an average of three and a half weeks a year in personal leave, leaving offices
undermanned, parliament heard today.
Senior Centrelink officials told a Senate estimates committee that unhappy staff were
taking over 17 days each year in unplanned leave, more than most other government departments.
Centrelink's national manager of people management, Jenni Colwill, said the number
of unplanned absences had increased from 16.68 days per staff member …
