Fed: Drugs expert on committee could restrict debate

There's concern in medical circles the appointment of a former drug industry executive
to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee could lead to a potential conflict of
interest.

Former committee member Dr SIAN HUGHES says having drug interests on the committee
could restrict debate over drugs that are being considered for government subsidies.
